Tkachuk Elena Anatolyevna

Tkachuk Elena Anatolyevna graduated with honors from the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Irkutsk State Medical University" in 1998, specializing in "Pediatrics", and in 1998-2000 she completed training in clinical residency in pediatrics. In 2000, she entered graduate school at the Department of Pediatrics No. 1, and from that time on she worked at the Department of Pediatrics No. 1 as an assistant of the department. In April 2002, at the invitation of the Youth Policy Committee of the Irkutsk Region Administration, she began working as a leading specialist in educational work and youth health protection, initially on a part-time basis, and since 2004 on a permanent basis. In 2003, she defended her candidate's dissertation on the topic "The Impact of Electromagnetic Radiation on Health" (scientific supervisors: Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor E.S. Filippov and Doctor of Medical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor M.A. Savchenkov). In 2004, she began to work on her doctoral dissertation on assessing the health of children in educational institutions. During her work in the Youth Policy Committee of the Irkutsk Region Administration, she carried out advisory and educational activities to organize health work with young people, and to protect the reproductive health of adolescents in the territories of the Irkutsk Region. By agreement with local government bodies in the territories, she conducted a study of the health of children and adolescents, the results of which formed the basis of her doctoral dissertation. In 2008, she moved to work at the State Autonomous Institution of Additional Professional Education "Irkutsk Institute for Advanced Training of Education Workers" (IPKRO), initially as an associate professor of the department, and since 2010 as the head of the health protection department. She worked at the institute until its reorganization in 2015. During her work at IPKRO, she trained teachers in the fields of "Pediatrics" and "Fundamentals of Medical Knowledge" as part of the retraining of specialists in pedagogical specialties, and also conducted advanced training courses for teachers of the Irkutsk region on health protection, healthy nutrition, health-saving technologies and the organization of health-saving conditions for education and upbringing in educational organizations of the Irkutsk region. She conducted work on assessing the health of children in educational organizations. She developed methodological recommendations for organizing children's nutrition in educational organizations, preventing diseases and bad habits, and forming a healthy lifestyle for students. Throughout the entire period of implementation of the IPKRO Megaproject in the Irkutsk Region, she was the head of the "Children's Health Protection" direction (from 2010 to 2015). The result of the work were original articles and methodological recommendations approved at the regional and federal levels and implemented in the work of educational organizations. The "Assessment of the Intensity of Academic Work" methodology has received nationwide recognition, implemented and is used by leading scientific institutions working in the field of child and adolescent health protection and Russian educational organizations. To successfully work as the head of the department, in 2011 she underwent retraining in the specialty "Psychology". Since 2011, she has been collaborating on issues of assessing children's health with the East Siberian Institute of Medical and Ecological Research. She conducted population studies of anthropometric and functional characteristics of children, morbidity and hereditary burden. The result of this cooperation was the centile tables for assessing the physical development of children in the Irkutsk region, developed by the Research Institute of Hygiene and Health Protection of Children and Adolescents of the Federal State Autonomous Institution National Medical Research Center of Children's Health of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The cooperation continues to this day, where E.A. Tkachuk works as a leading researcher (part-time) and is a member of the Dissertation Council of VSIMEI (since 2016).

In March 2015, she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic "Hygienic assessment of the informatization of training and education of preschool and primary school children" (scientific consultant Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor V.R. Kuchma). In June 2015, she transferred to work at the Network Institute of Continuing Professional Education LLC and continued to work on improving the qualifications and retraining of teachers in the field of health protection of children and adolescents. In 2019, she completed retraining in the specialty "Genetics" and received a specialist certificate in the field of "Genetics". For a long time, she worked on the problems of children with autism spectrum disorders, conducted retraining of specialists in the field of "Corrective Pedagogy", where she was responsible for the disciplines "Pediatrics" and "Hereditary Pathology".

 

From 2019 to the present (part-time) he works as a senior researcher at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Scientific Center for Family Health and Human Reproduction Problems and as a geneticist at the Center for Innovative Medicine of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution Scientific Center for Family Health and Human Reproduction Problems.

 

E.A. Tkachuk is an expert on health protection of the commission on science and education of the Public Chamber of the Irkutsk Region, a member of the public council on children's health of the Ministry of Education of the Irkutsk Region and an expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences, as well as deputy editor-in-chief and head of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal "Baikal Medical Journal" and professor of the Department of Genetics of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education Irkutsk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

Since 2025, an expert of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the areas of genetics, pediatrics, and hygiene of children and adolescents.
