Kudaeva Irina Valerievna

Irina Valeryevna Kudayeva – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Director for Research at the East Siberian Institute of Medical and Ecological Research, Head of the Clinical Laboratory, and a Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics Physician of the Highest Category.
Education: In 1994, she graduated with honors from the Siberian State Medical University (Tomsk) with a degree in Biochemistry.
After graduating, she entered graduate school in the Department of Pathological Physiology at SSMU. Before completing her postgraduate studies, she defended her dissertation, "Morphofunctional Status of the Plasma Cell Pool under Conditions of Cytostatic Hemosuppression and under Conditions of Antigenic Stimulation," specializing in Pathological Physiology. During her graduate studies, she gained teaching experience, supervised theses, and gained experience working with world-class scientists.
Research interests: biochemistry, pathological physiology, clinical laboratory diagnostics, genetics, and occupational medicine. From September 2000 to December 2004, she worked as a senior researcher at the Angarsk branch of the VSRC ECh SB RAMS – Research Institute of Occupational Medicine and Human Ecology. With her direct involvement, a biochemical research laboratory was established and a research program was developed to study the role of biochemical processes in the development of occupational, industrial, and environmentally induced diseases, and new biochemical research methods were introduced.
From December 2004 to the present, she has headed the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory at the same institute. She also served as the head of the biochemistry laboratory (2004–2014) and as a leading researcher in the laboratory of immuno-biochemical and molecular genetic studies (2014–2017).

Since assuming her position as head of the Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory, Irina Valeryevna has been addressing issues related to improving diagnostic quality, upgrading equipment, optimizing the cost of testing, and expanding the range of laboratory methods. She has achieved particular success in organizing laboratory quality management, developing and implementing standard operating procedures, optimizing the performance of laboratory staff in their workstations, and implementing new research areas and methods, as well as modern laboratory equipment. The Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory, headed by I.V. Kudayeva, is one of the best in the Irkutsk Region.
Since August 2017, she has served as Deputy Director for Research at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Mechanics and Mathematics (VSIMEI). Results: New approaches to assessing the performance of research staff have been developed and implemented. These approaches are aimed at stimulating publication activity in high-impact journals, promoting international collaboration, and encouraging young scientists to take initiative in writing scientific publications. These approaches are based on the principles of transparency and objectivity in assessing each employee's contribution to the overall results of the institution.

In 2017 and 2022, she was nominated by the Institute's Academic Council for the position of Director of the East Siberian Institute of Medical and Ecological Research. Certain provisions of her election program have been included in the Institute's development program.
I.V. Kudayeva's research focuses on developing a theory of the development of work-related and occupational diseases caused by exposure to chemical toxicants, studying the contribution of genetic factors to their development, and their role in the development of environmentally induced pathologies in children and adolescents. The results of scientific research conducted with the participation of I.V. Kudayeva correspond to the priority areas of the Irkutsk Region Socioeconomic Development Program in the area of implementing innovative technologies for economic and social modernization; and developing and improving the quality of human capital. The diagnostic approaches developed with the direct participation of Irina Valeryevna Kudayeva involve obtaining personalized data that enables an individualized approach to predicting, diagnosing, and preventing potential environmentally and occupationally induced health disorders. The application points of pathogenetic therapy and the prevention of disorders in workers exposed to occupational neurotoxicants have been determined based on the identified patterns of changes in biochemical processes. The characteristics of the immune-biochemical status of adolescents in the Irkutsk Region, formed under conditions of climatic, geographical, and anthropogenic influences, as well as their role in the mechanisms of the development of chronic upper respiratory tract pathology against the background of the permanent influence of air pollution, have been established. Methods for improving the diagnosis of chronic upper respiratory tract pathology during remission have been scientifically substantiated and validated, and the role of environmental factors in its development has been identified using a complex of highly informative microbiological, biochemical, and immunological indicators.
She is the initiator of scientific research aimed at studying the adverse effects of occupational environmental factors on the development of proatherogenic, metabolic disorders, and endothelial dysfunction, as well as elucidating the role of genetic predisposition in susceptibility to these influences. The results of Irina Valerievna Kudayeva's scientific and educational research have been implemented in educational and medical institutions in the Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia.
During her research career at the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution VSIMEI, she participated in 12 research projects as a responsible investigator and supervised four research projects.
In 2009, she was awarded the title of Associate Professor in Pathological Physiology. In 2013, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences, “The Role of Biochemical Processes in the Formation of Neurological Disorders in Workers Exposure to Industrial Neurotoxicants,” in the specialty of “Occupational Medicine.”

In total, over 200 scientific papers have been published, including methodological recommendations, textbooks, medical technologies, and patents.
I.V. Kudaeva coordinates educational activities at the All-Russian Society of Medical Engineers (VSIMEI). Over the past five years, she has been directly involved in the drafting of over 40 local regulations and manages the admissions, assessment, and scholarship committees. She interacts with higher education institutions in the implementation of educational and career guidance activities, as well as with the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the All-Russian Society of Medical Engineers (VSIMEI). She participated in organizing joint educational activities with the Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution "Angarsk Lyceum No. 1." From 2003 to 2008, she taught medical disciplines (anatomy and physiology of the central nervous system, psychophysiology, and neuropharmacology) to students majoring in psychology. He is involved in training highly qualified personnel: under his supervision, five PhD dissertations and one doctoral dissertation in biology have been defended. He is also the head of the educational center at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Mathematical and Evolutionary Mathematics (VSIMEI) and the clinical residency program in clinical laboratory diagnostics.
He is also the Deputy Chairman of the Academic Council and Deputy Chairman of the Dissertation Council at the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Mathematical and Evolutionary Mathematics (VSIMEI). For excellent achievements in her work, Irina Valerievna Kudayeva has been repeatedly awarded by the administration of the institute, as well as by the administrations of the East Siberian Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (2011), Russian Academy of Medical Sciences (2010, 2013), Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2016); for her contribution to the development of the Irkutsk Region and the Angarsk District - by the Governor of the Irkutsk Region (2017) and the Mayor of the Angarsk Municipal Formation (2008); for her contribution to solving healthcare problems, she has a letter of gratitude from the regional healthcare department (2009, 2010) and an Honorary Certificate from the Ministry of Health of the Irkutsk Region (2016); she has a letter of gratitude from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2024).
